Orbit Dodger

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

The short version. Orbit Dodger has no account of its own and no analytics. Your scores, stats and unlocks are stored on your phone. If you sign in to Google Play Games, your best scores are posted to its leaderboards. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and asks for your consent first where the law requires it.

This policy explains what Orbit Dodger (“the game”) does with your information. Orbit Dodger is published by HeloCode Labs and distributed on Google Play under the package name io.helocode.orbitdodger.

01What stays on your phone

The game keeps the following in its own private storage on your device:

  • Your runs: score, wave reached, asteroids dodged, near misses, stardust collected, game mode and when you played.
  • Your progress: lifetime stats, stardust balance, and the ships and planets you have unlocked.
  • Your settings: sound, music and haptics.

None of this is sent to us. We do not run a server for the game, and we have no copy of your progress.

If Android backup is turned on for your phone, Android may include the game’s data in your device backup to your Google account. That backup is made and stored by Google under your account, not by us, and you control it in your phone’s settings.

02Google Play Games

The game uses Google Play Games Services for sign-in and global leaderboards. Signing in is optional, and the game is fully playable without it.

  • When you are signed in, the game reads your Play Games player name and avatar to show them in the game.
  • Your best scores in Classic and Hyperspace are submitted to Google’s leaderboards, where other players can see them alongside your Play Games name.
  • If you are offline, scores are held on your phone and sent the next time you are connected.

Play Games is operated by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. You can change your Play Games profile visibility, or delete your Play Games data, from the Play Games settings on your device.

03Advertising

The free version shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob: optional rewarded ads you choose to watch, and occasional ads between runs.

  • AdMob may receive your device’s Advertising ID, approximate location from your IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads.
  • In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the game asks for your consent through Google’s consent tool before personalised ads are shown. You can change your choice from the game’s settings.
  • You can reset or delete your Advertising ID in your phone’s settings under Google → Ads (or Privacy → Ads).
  • Buying Remove Ads stops the ads between runs.

04Purchases

In-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your payment details. The game receives only a confirmation of what was bought, which it uses to unlock the item on your phone.

05Ratings and updates

The game may ask Google Play to show its built-in rating prompt, and to offer an update when a new version is available. Both are handled by Google Play; we receive no information about whether you rated the game or what you wrote.

06What we do not collect

  • No analytics, usage tracking or profiling.
  • No name, email address or phone number.
  • No contacts, photos, files, camera, microphone or location.
  • No crash-reporting service. If the game crashes, Google Play may collect a crash report through Android’s own diagnostics, under your phone’s settings.

07Permissions

PermissionWhy
InternetPlay Games sign-in and leaderboards, ads, and purchases. The game itself plays offline.
VibrateHaptic feedback, which you can turn off in settings.

08Children

Orbit Dodger is intended for players aged 13 and over, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the game, please contact us and we will address it.

09Deleting your data

  • Local progress: use Settings → Reset local progress in the game, or uninstall it. Either removes your scores, stats and unlocks from your phone.
  • Leaderboard scores: these are held by Google Play Games. You can delete your Play Games data from the Play Games settings on your device.
  • Advertising data: held by Google under its own retention policy; reset your Advertising ID to break the link to past activity.

Because we hold no account and no server-side data for the game, there is nothing about you on our side to delete.

10Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the game changes. The “last updated” date at the top always reflects the current version.
