Nakshatra

Nekath, litha and your birth chart, in your pocket.

Coming soon AndroidFlutterSinhala · Tamil · EnglishWorks offlineAGPL-3.0

Nakshatra brings the Sri Lankan almanac to your phone in Sinhala, Tamil and English (නැකත් · நட்சத்திரம்). Every nekath, chart and compatibility reading is worked out on the device with the Swiss Ephemeris, so the almanac keeps working with no signal.

What it does

  • Today’s nekath: rahu kalaya, yamaganda and gulika kalaya for where you are, plus the full panchanga
  • The litha a year at a time: every poya, Sinhala and Tamil New Year with the exact ingress, and Thai Pongal
  • Your birth chart in South or North Indian style, with the navamsa (D9) and vimshottari dasha
  • Marriage compatibility: ashtakoota and the ten porondam, scored factor by factor
  • A daily reading from today’s transits against your own chart
  • Optional reminders for nekath, poya, Avurudu and new dashas, each off until you switch it on
